Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a senior Quality Control Manager to lead the QC program for an upcoming correctional facility project in Mobile, AL. You will develop and maintain the project QC plan, oversee documentation, and drive corrective actions to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

The role requires coordinating with project leadership, field teams, and inspectors, and ensuring all QC activities meet security requirements and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction quality control and/or construction management experience.
• Experience as Quality Control Manager on large, complex commercial, institutional, or secure-facility projects.
• Prior correctional facility construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with detention equipment and security systems preferred.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Willing to relocate or travel as required by the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan.
• Lead QC meetings with management, field supervision, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain daily QC reports and non-conforming work tracking.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and commissioning for critical building systems.
• Ensure QC documentation complies with security requirements and contract documents.
