B.l.-Harbert-International, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead field operations on a correctional facility project in Mobile, AL. The role requires oversight of subcontractors, schedule development, safety programs, and coordination with design teams and the owner.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a project superintendent and 15+ years in construction preferred.
• Prior correctional facility construction experience strongly preferred, including prisons, jails, detention centers, or similar secure facilities.
• Experience managing large, complex commercial, institutional, or government construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and day-to-day supervision of construction activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, craft personnel, vendors, and field staff.
• Ensure work complies with contracts, plans, specs, codes, and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and sequence trades.
• Identify and resolve field issues affecting safety, quality, cost, or schedule.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Maintain daily field reports and project documentation.
• Lead preconstruction, coordination, and owner meetings.
• Oversee secure-area activities and ensure security requirements are met.
