Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead daily QC activities on BLHI projects, ensuring work is performed to established minimum standards and coordinate with project managers and superintendents.

Responsibilities include maintaining submittal logs, reviewing shop drawings, chairing weekly QC meetings, producing daily QC reports, conducting inspections, and ensuring material conformity, with health/dental, life, LTD, vacation, and 401(k) benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction industry experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain the project submittal log and all other project specific quality control reports.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specs.
• Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide written minutes.
• Provide written daily QC reports to confirm conformance and address non-conformances.
• Conduct preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to establish quality standards for each definable feature of work.
• Verify and document materials receive conformance with submittals and proper handling.
• Schedule, document and log code and independent inspections; correct and re-inspect non-conformances.
• Conduct periodic follow-up inspections to verify work aligns with contract documents and approved submittals.
• Document final inspections, occupancy certificates and acceptance of works.
• Stop work if necessary to resolve safety, quality or progress issues.
