Job summary

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a SME Software Quality Assurance Engineer/Tester to support government system testing by developing, executing, and documenting comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and coordinating with engineering and program personnel to assure high-quality system performance.

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead test processes on behalf of government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience (or 18+ with Bachelor) in software testing for government systems.
• Experience with QA and/or T&E for government systems.
• Ability to develop, execute, and document test plans and results.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineering and non-technical audiences.
• Experience using Atlassian products (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute test events with clear schedules.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive test plans and TRRs.
• Define and oversee DT&E, OT&E, and Cyber T&E processes within PMO.
• Ensure DT&E and OT&E activities align with customer mandates.
• Provide test-focused recommendations for acquisition contracts.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system tests.
• Document defects, test results, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program personnel.
• Lead and facilitate test-related meetings and reviews.
• Maintain documentation and traceability to government standards.
• Support continuous improvement of QA/T&E methodologies.
