Job summary

First Roles is seeking a Senior Quality Analyst / QA Tester for remote work in the United States. The role requires 7+ years of QA experience, strong manual testing and test design skills, and familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, and TestRail.

The contract spans 6–12 months, with OPT/STEM OPT visa considerations subject to client approval. The ideal candidate will review requirements, craft test plans, execute diverse tests, manage defects, and support UAT and release validation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Strong experience with manual testing and test case design.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Experience with Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar testing tools.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience testing web-based or enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Review business requirements and identify test scenarios.
• Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Execute test cases and document results.
• Log, track, prioritize, and retest defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
• Support UAT and release validation.
• Maintain test evidence, quality metrics, and test documentation.
