Job summary

Grunau is seeking a Quality Control Manager for its mechanical construction on a major HVAC project in Oak Creek, WI. The role leads QA/QC activities, develops the Project Quality Management Plan, and ensures compliance with contract documents and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a QA/QC leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Experience on large pharmaceutical/industrial projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all QA/QC activities for Grunau’s HVAC scope on the customer project.
• Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan.
• Establish project quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Promote a culture of Build It Right the First Time.
• Serve as primary quality liaison among project stakeholders.
• Review contract documents, specs, drawings, and owner requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering to resolve design conflicts before construction.
• Verify shop drawings and submittals comply with project requirements.
