Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems is seeking a QA/QC Supervisor to lead the QA/QC Project Team, coaching reports, reducing risk in fabrication and installation, and ensuring adherence to the Project Specific Quality Control Plan. You will oversee QC activities across projects within a defined geographic area, providing hands-on leadership at shops and field sites.

You will interact with project groups, conduct quality audits, manage NCRs, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 8+ years of QA/QC experience; 5+ years in construction QA/QC with leadership.
• Certification per AWS QC-1 as SCWI/CWI; ICC Mechanical Certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• 3+ years leading and managing direct reports.
• Proficiency with ASME Section IX BP&V Code and welding procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, data interpretation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to read, write, and present technical information.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise QA/QC activities; lead project quality control plans.
• Audit QA/QC program execution and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to shop and field QC personnel.
• Mentor and coach QC staff; ensure proper documentation and discipline.
• Lead nonconformance resolution and corrective action tracking.
• Communicate quality trends and risk with project management.
• Prepare reports and present technical information to management.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and site leadership; support audits and client inspections.
• Ensure staffing aligns with workload and project risk.
