Job summary

WebstaurantStore is hiring a Senior QA Performance Engineer for a remote role. You will own end-to-end performance testing across web and mobile apps, guiding strategy and collaborating with engineering leadership.

This role demands strong expertise in JMeter, Grafana, Kubernetes, and SQL, with a track record of optimizing throughput and latency. You will mentor others, design robust test plans, and contribute to scalable, containerized deployments while aligning with company performance goals

Qualifications

• 5+ years of performance test simulations and/or experience in web-based enterprise apps.
• Experience installing, configuring, and using JMeter and Grafana.
• Design test scenarios and load profiles based on app usage.
• Proficiency in C#.NET or Java.
• Knowledge of load testing concepts in a C#.NET environment.
• Understanding of servers, network, load balancers, switches, firewalls, etc.
• Strong throughput, latency, memory and CPU knowledge.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Strong Git knowledge.
• Experience with profiling tools for performance analysis.
• Experience creating Grafana dashboards for monitoring.
• Experience testing in Kubernetes environments for containerized apps.

Responsibilities

• Use JMeter to perform load and performance testing on web and mobile apps.
• Collect performance targets from stakeholders before tests.
• Design, script and execute load, stress, and scalability tests.
• Collaborate on performance test cases and provide data for bug entry.
• Report issues and work with engineering to resolve them.
• Stay updated on performance testing methods and tools.
• Mentor mid and junior engineers on best practices.
• Assist leadership with performance testing strategy and planning.
• Create and update documentation.
• Estimate level of effort to test and complete tasks.
