Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA program across design, production, and testing activities. You will develop standards per ISO 9000 and AS9100, drive corrective actions, coordinate audits, and mentor QA staff while traveling up to 50% to support multiple sites in defense, space and commercial programs.

This role reports to a senior manager and emphasizes technical leadership, risk management, and compliance with government

Qualifications

• Requires 13+ years of progressively complex QA experience
• Strong knowledge of QA principles, regulations, and practices
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/AS9100 quality systems and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Direct QA activities to meet quality and financial objectives.
• Develop standards for inspecting and testing products.
• Design and analyze inspection processes and perform QA tests.
• Coordinate safety and environmental reviews.
• Align QA with corporate audit program and QA manuals.
• Audit quality systems and drive corrective actions.
• Review engineering designs to include QA requirements.
• Collaborate to set technical, schedule, quality and financial objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and develop QA staff.
• Act as QA spokesperson with management, customers and regulators.
• Oversee security of proprietary technology.
