Job summary

Dolby in San Francisco is seeking a QA Manager to lead next‑generation cinema imaging products and integrated theatrical systems. This is a hands‑on, on‑site role in Dolby’s hardware labs, owning test strategy, planning, lab readiness, system configuration, execution, risk assessment, and release‑quality reporting across projectors, cinema servers, networking, and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years management experience; 8+ years in quality/test engineering or related field.
• Experience leading QA for video, imaging, cinema, or complex hardware–software systems.
• Hands-on lab experience with projectors, servers, networking, and measurement tools.
• Excellent English communication and ability to collaborate across geographies.
• Knowledge of test methodologies, software QA, and automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage team of test engineers and provide both management and technical oversight.
• Plan resources, budgets, and headcount to meet project objectives.
• Develop and implement QA strategies and end‑to‑end test ownership.
• Collaborate with Sony? (incorrect) – ensure cross‑functional alignment across Dolby entities.
• Mentor defect reporting, triage, and root cause investigation; drive AI‑assisted workflows.
