Job summary

Dolby Laboratories in San Francisco seeks a Staff QA Engineer to lead testing for cinema imaging products. You will own test strategy, lab readiness, and release‑quality reporting across complex imaging programs, interfacing with hardware partners and engineering teams.

You will mentor QA engineers, advance AI‑assisted QA tools, and drive test coverage and efficiency while working on-site in Dolby’s SF hardware labs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in QA, systems testing or related engineering discipline.
• Leading QA for video/imaging/cinema hardware is required.
• Hands-on lab experience with projectors, servers, networking, and measurement tools.
• Python-based test automation frameworks with PyTest.
• CI/CD integration using GitLab CI or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA strategy and end‑to‑end test ownership for cinema imaging products.
• Configure and maintain cinema hardware labs and test environments.
• Perform functional, integration, system, performance, and regression testing.
• Develop test plans, cases, matrices, and release criteria.
• Own picture‑quality validation and multi‑projector workflows.
• Produce defect reports and drive defects to resolution with teams.
