Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Senior QA Lead for Data Engineering & Analytics Testing. This remote, US-based contract role focuses on backend data testing, ETL/ELT validation, and data quality across large cloud-based platforms.

You will lead QA efforts, define testing strategies, and mentor a small team of QA professionals while collaborating with Data Engineers and Analysts on migration and validation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years in Quality Assurance for Data Warehouses and ETL/ELT testing.
• Strong SQL skills and data validation expertise.
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud data platforms.
• Experience validating complex data transformations and business rules.
• Experience leading QA activities and mentoring juniors.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing efforts for data engineering and analytics initiatives.
• Validate data transformations, calculations, and business rules.
• Perform end-to-end ETL/ELT testing with source-to-target reconciliation.
• Ensure data integrity across cloud platforms and migration efforts.
• Develop and execute SQL-based test cases for large datasets.
• Mentor a small team of QA professionals and review artifacts.
