Job summary

Quanata, LLC is seeking a hands-on QA Engineer to join the Data Platform QA team, focusing on the quality, reliability, and performance of data platforms and ML workflows. This individual contributor role designs scalable automated testing across data pipelines and models, partnering with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps.

You will mentor junior SDETs, shape testing practices, and help resolve production issues while staying hands-on.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 6–8 years of software testing experience with at least 3 years in data platform or ML testing.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable automated testing frameworks for data pipelines, processing workflows, and ML models.
• Develop testing strategies addressing data quality, schema integrity, drift, model accuracy, bias, and regression.
• Validate large-scale distributed data systems for accuracy, reliability, performance, and resilience.
• Collaborate across engineering, data science, and operations to embed quality throughout SDLC.
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and risks in new features and ML workflows.
• Build continuous validation into automated development and deployment processes.
• Investigate production data and model failures, identify root causes, and drive resolutions.
• Mentor junior SDETs and contribute to testing standards and best practices.
