Job summary

Viamericas is seeking a QA Engineer to join our software development team. You will design and implement manual and automated tests for web and Windows applications, with a focus on JavaScript, ReactJS and SQL to ensure product quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in similar QA roles, excellent communication, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. AWS knowledge and experience with Selenium/Webdriver tools are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IS, IT or related field.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with peers and executives.
• Ability to collaborate and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Implement and develop manual and automated tests for both web and windows applications.
• Design and develop test cases for front-end interfaces, APIs, and backend systems using JavaScript, ReactJS and SQL.
• Define process and strategy for automation with Product owners and Delivery Director.
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, or content.
• Plan test schedules or strategies per project scope and delivery dates.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on requirements and potential problems.
• Report bugs promptly and clearly for reproduction.
• Write test cases for new products and features.
• Review and analyze product requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
