Job summary

Upgrade seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own end-to-end quality for a fast-paced fintech platform. You’ll automate functional and performance tests, build robust test frameworks, and collaborate with product teams to ensure reliable releases.

This fully remote long-term contract role is open to candidates based in LATAM. You’ll work with Java, Selenium, Playwright, and cloud-native tooling to deliver high-quality software at speed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and Selenium for test automation.
• Experience deploying services in Kubernetes with ArgoCD and Jenkins.
• Ability to improve test infrastructure using Docker, Selenium, and headless browsers.
• Familiarity with log aggregators (SumoLogic, Kibana, Splunk) and monitoring tools (Honeycomb, Grafana).
• Passion for automating tests and delivering high-quality features in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional/performance tests by spinning up disposable environments to deploy microservices with different versions and configurations.
• Develop test automation at the pace of feature development using our functional and performance frameworks.
• Customize, configure, patch services, and deploy infrastructure and code changes through to production.
• Analyze log files and troubleshoot production issues by reproducing them in non-production environments.
• Plan, create, and implement strategies for feature validations and test automation.
