Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, SWE, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software quality engineering with enterprise apps ownership.
• Turn requirements into actionable test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on testing of web apps, APIs, and data-driven processes.
• Strong SQL querying skills in Microsoft SQL Server; data validation.
• Experience with automated functional/API/regression tests.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business analysts to review requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Translate requirements into risk-based test strategies and scenarios.
• Own functional, integration, end-to-end, regression testing for changes.
• Validate end-to-end workflows and cross-system impacts.
• Test APIs, file exchanges, scheduled jobs, and UI flows.
• Reproduce defects with steps and data; collaborate with developers.
• Verify application behavior via read-only SQL queries and reports.
• Build reusable test cases and automation to reduce defects.
• Coordinate test scope and environments across teams.
• Provide QA readiness recommendations with evidence and risk notes.
• Post-deployment smoke tests and continuous coverage improvements.
