Job summary

Penske is seeking a QA Automation Test Engineer to ensure quality and performance of digital products in a SaaS environment. You’ll build and maintain automated testing across UI, API, and integration layers, driving shift-left testing and faster feedback.

You’ll work with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and other QA professionals in an Agile product team, integrating tests into CI/CD and supporting reliable, scalable deployments. This is an in-office role based in Reading, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years in QA automation/SDET roles in SaaS or platform environments.
• Experience designing/maintaining automated test frameworks for UI, API, and integration layers.
• Proficiency in one or more test languages (Java/JavaScript/Python).
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar tools.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong knowledge of Agile and cross-functional teams.
• Shift-left testing mindset and testability focus.
• Ability to partner with PMs/Eng engineers on acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Ensure test coverage for web, mobile, and SaaS platforms.
• Improve automation strategies for speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define acceptance criteria.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and drive quality outcomes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support release readiness.
• Investigate defects and perform root-cause analysis.
