Job summary

Makai Digital is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead manual and automated testing across web, mobile and API platforms. You will define test strategies, execute exploratory testing, and design scalable automation frameworks in a fast-paced environment.

The role collaborates with developers, product managers and technical leads to ensure performance, reliability and security. You will drive QA excellence and contribute to continuous delivery practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance and a track record in manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining modern test automation frameworks using Cypress, Playwright or Selenium.
• Deep experience testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Postman and automated libraries.
• Strong exploratory testing, edge-case identification, and test planning skills.
• Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, TestRail or Zephyr for bug tracking and test management.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define QA strategies, test plans and detailed test cases from specs and acceptance criteria.
• Perform manual, functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing.
• Design, build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web apps and APIs.
• Validate REST and GraphQL APIs with automated and manual tooling.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize and track defects with engineering teams.
• Advocate quality best practices across the SDLC and participate in code reviews.
