Job summary

Healthie, a leading AI-enabled EHR platform, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to elevate testing across web apps and APIs. You will craft robust test strategies, build automation with Playwright, and drive quality in collaboration with product, engineering, and clinical teams. Strong experience in API testing, GraphQL, and familiarity with Ruby/TypeScript are highly valued.

This role offers hybrid work from NYC/LA and requires U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Quality Assurance experience with a proven track record of finding bugs others miss and building durable test coverage.
• Deep customer empathy and the ability to advocate for user experience during testing.
• Exceptional testing instincts, including edge-case identification and adversarial thinking.
• Fast learner who can quickly master new features and domains with a critical, analytical mindset.
• Sound judgment on coverage, balancing thoroughness with velocity in a fast-moving team.
• Technical fluency across the stack: API testing, GraphQL, logs analysis; Ruby and TypeScript familiarity is a plus.
• Comfort with Playwright and test automation, and using AI tools to accelerate testing while maintaining judgment.
• Strong cross-functional communication with engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders; healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for web applications and APIs within a large, complex EHR platform.
• Build and maintain test automation using Playwright and a growing suite of tests.
• Perform thorough API testing using tools like Postman to validate backend services and data flows.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the development lifecycle to catch issues early.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test generation, edge-case discovery, and documentation.
• Document defects with clear, reproducible steps, especially for complex workflows.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and adoption of better testing patterns over time.
