Job summary

Healthie is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join a strong QA team. You will design test plans, build and maintain Playwright-based automation, and perform API testing with Postman within a large EHR platform.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers, applying AI tools to accelerate testing while maintaining high quality. This hybrid, full-time role is based in the US (New York or Los Angeles) with Healthie’s standards for work authorization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA experience with a track record of finding bugs others miss.
• Strong customer empathy and user-focused testing mindset.
• Exceptional testing instincts; ability to identify edge cases adversarially.
• Fast learner; quickly gains context in new features and domains.
• Fluent in API testing; Ruby/TypeScript familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for web apps and APIs in a large EHR platform.
• Build and maintain test automation using Playwright.
• Perform API testing using Postman to validate services and data flows.
• Advocate for users and their experience across the product.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to catch issues early in the lifecycle.
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps for complex workflows.
• Use AI tools to accelerate testing while maintaining judgment.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and patterns over time.
