Healthie is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join a strong, collaborative QA team. You will shape testing strategy, develop automation with Playwright, and perform API testing across a complex EHR platform.

You’ll use AI tools pragmatically to speed up testing while maintaining high quality and clear defect reproduction. This full-time, hybrid role is based in NYC or LA and requires deep QA experience and healthcare-domain awareness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA experience with strong bug-detection and durable test coverage.
• Empathy for users and the ability to advocate for their experience.
• Exceptional testing instincts and edge-case spotting.
• Fast learner who can master new features quickly.
• Strong decision-making on test coverage under tight timelines.
• Fluent in API testing, GraphQL, and logs analysis.
• Ruby and TypeScript familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for web apps and APIs in a large EHR platform.
• Build and maintain test automation using Playwright and a growing test suite.
• Perform thorough API testing using Postman to validate backend services.
• Advocate for users by testing with the customer in mind and reporting issues clearly.
• Learn new product areas quickly and assess where coverage should be applied.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and design across the development lifecycle.
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps for complex workflows.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate testing while applying professional judgment.
