MFS Investments seeks a Test Automation Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks for web applications using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Playwright. The role emphasizes quality, automation, and continuous improvement with AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5–7 years in software QA test automation.
• Hands-on automation development using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automated test frameworks and test suites for web
• Create and execute automated UI test scripts using Java, Selenium and / or Playwright.
• Develop and maintain API automation tests using Rest Assured.
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements, coding standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements and independently create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution through Jenkins or similar orchestration tools.
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Utilize AI-powered IDE plugins and productivity tools to accelerate test development and improve code quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.
• Track and manage defects, test execution, and quality metrics using Jira.
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, automation coverage, and overall quality engineering practices.
