Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of software quality assurance test automation experience.
• Hands-on experience in automation development using Java.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency with Jira for defect management, test execution tracking, and sprint activities.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality engineering principles.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and IDE plugins.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automated test frameworks and test suites for web apps.
• Create and execute automated UI test scripts using Java, Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Develop and maintain API automation tests with Rest Assured.
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements, coding standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to define test strategies.
• Analyze requirements and independently create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools.
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Utilize AI-powered IDE plugins and productivity tools to accelerate test development and quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.
• Track and manage defects, test execution, and quality metrics using Jira.
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
