Job summary

FTS, Inc. is seeking a Software Test Engineer for a 6-12 month contract in the Washington, D.C. area. The role combines manual and automated testing across UI, APIs, microservices, and ETL data pipelines.

You will join an established QA team in Arlington, VA, contributing to test plans, writing and executing test cases, and building automated tests to run in CI/CD pipelines. Local candidates only.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software QA/testing experience.
• Strong SDLC understanding and hands-on manual/automation testing.
• Experience with Selenium or comparable tools.
• ETL pipeline testing experience.
• SQL and data validation across relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Test web apps, REST services, APIs, and microservices.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for UI, API, and services.
• Run tests in CI/CD and report defects.
• Validate data across relational and NoSQL databases.
