Job summary

AHU technology is seeking an automation engineer to drive proof-of-concept work, define key features with stakeholders, and assess automation potential across the testing life cycle. You will help shape the Automated Test Architecture and create reusable scripts for functional, smoke, and regression tests.

The role requires strong programming skills in TypeScript with Playwright, SQL data validation, and experience starting automation projects from scratch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
• 4+ years of experience as an automation engineer.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Programming skills.
• Automation tools (Playwright/TypeScript).
• Able to start an automation project from scratch.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Defect life cycle.
• Testing Process Experience.
• Agile Testing & Test Automation Strategy.
• Quality Metrics.

Responsibilities

• Performs proof of concepts as required.
• Meeting with the users or business people to define risks and key features.
• Evaluate the scope of the key features by reviewing the manual test cases or application demos to provide feedback on suitability for automation.
• Participates in the definition of the Automated Test Architecture.
• Follow standards to generate the test scripts as well as design reusable components.
• Assures that the Testing Environment and Test Data are ready for automation.
• Designs and creates Automated Test projects for functional, smoke, or regression testing.
• Executes Automated Test Scripts according to the test plan and test schedule.
• Log and report the execution results.
• Reports and tracks defects according to the Defect Management process.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Coordinates and/or participates in revisions, inspections, and walkthroughs.
• Communicates test results to the Test Lead.
• Collects and reports test metrics.
• Supports and monitors activities from other automation resources.
• Willing to do manual testing in case is necessary to start or support projects.
• Able to automate front-end web applications.
