Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead automation across web, mobile, and API surfaces in a fast-growing product team. You will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated test coverage and help set QA strategy and architecture.

This hands-on, mentoring role requires strong Python skills, experience with Playwright and Appium, and a pragmatic, AI-aware approach to testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation testing across API, Playwright, and Appium.
• Strong proficiency in Python and understanding of the testing pyramid.
• Experience developing AI-driven testing capabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and browser developer tools.
• Experience with Git for version control and building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain UI automated tests for web using Playwright with Python, and for mobile using Appium with Python.
• Build and maintain API automated tests in Python across the technology stack.
• Apply testing pyramid principles and white-box techniques to decide coverage.
• Use AI tools to accelerate understanding of the platform and speed up test development.
• Mentor QA team members and provide code review guidance.
• Maintain documentation for automated test scripts, frameworks, and processes, and conduct regression testing ahead of releases.
