Hidden Jobs is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to lead the quality engineering strategy for an education-sector software platform that unifies tools for recruiting, hiring, absence and time management, and special education programs serving thousands of institutions.

As a senior member of the team, you will own end-to-end test automation across multiple products, shape QA standards, and introduce AI-assisted approaches to modernise testing workflows.

Qualifications

• Senior Automation QA Engineer or AQA Lead with hands-on Playwright/TypeScript.
• Strong API testing and SQL for test data validation.
• Experience leading QA teams and estimating QA efforts.

Responsibilities

• Define and own QA strategy across products in scope.
• Build and maintain automated end-to-end tests with Playwright and TS.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution.
• Develop API tests and validate data using SQL.
• Maintain and operate across multiple automation frameworks.
• Lead root cause analysis for defect trends and recurring issues.
• Standardise QA processes and practices across projects.
• Mentor junior and mid-level automation engineers and provide leadership.
• Explore and prototype AI-driven QA solutions to improve workflows.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, risks, and topics to stakeholders.
