Radley James is recruiting for a senior backend engineer to join a growth-focused investment technology company at the intersection of software, data science, and finance. You will build scalable Python services powering analytical workflows and investment initiatives.

You will collaborate with quantitative researchers and experienced developers, mentor peers, and help shape architecture while delivering production-quality solutions in a remote-friendly environment.

Formación

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python expertise and a track record of delivering production-quality applications.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• The ability to break down complex technical problems and develop practical, well-designed solutions.
• A proactive approach to ownership, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and research-focused colleagues.
• Experience supporting or mentoring other engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Engineer reliable, scalable backend systems for handling large volumes of financial and market data.
• Develop Python applications that power analytical tools, predictive models, and investment-related workflows.
• Work alongside quantitative researchers to translate research concepts into efficient, production-ready solutions.
• Improve existing systems by identifying performance bottlenecks and refining architecture.
• Develop integrations with external financial services providers and fintech platforms.
• Contribute to technical planning and architectural decisions as the platform evolves.
• Support the growth of the engineering team by sharing expertise and mentoring less experienced developers.
