Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a senior software engineer focused on AI integration and Python-based components for its agentic platform, JCRSD. You will design, develop, and deploy within Kubernetes, building MCP servers and reusable AI skills to safely access databases, microservices, and external APIs.

Strong leadership and collaboration across teams are essential. The role emphasizes enterprise AI guardrails, data privacy, and automated testing, with partial telework and a Columbia, MD office presence

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years experience in Software Engineering and Modern Java Frameworks with a related Bachelor's; seven (7) years with Masters; or thirteen (13) years with HS diploma.
• Experience deploying containerized workloads in Kubernetes (K8s).
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs or open-source models into production backend apps.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based components for our core agentic platform.
• Deploy, manage, and scale apps within Kubernetes environments.
• Build MCP servers and libraries of reusable AI skills for safe interactions with data sources and APIs.
• Collaborate with teams to expose Java APIs to AI agents.
• Implement enterprise AI guardrails ensuring data privacy and output validation.
• Mentor and lead engineering teams in a hybrid Columbia, MD setting.
