Job summary

Enlighten, a leader in big data solution development, seeks a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI integration. You will build the agentic platform for the Data Lake tool, primarily in Python, and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.

You’ll design MCP servers, create reusable AI skills, and coordinate with teams to expose APIs for AI agents. You will ensure robust security, data privacy, and prompt defenses while working in a hybrid environment with regular in-person collaboration in

Qualifications

• 9 years of software engineering with strong Python backend focus
• Bachelor's in a related field; advanced degrees preferred
• Kubernetes proficiency with containerized workloads
• Experience integrating commercial LLM APIs or open-source models
• Understanding of enterprise APIs, RESTful services, and microservices
• Experience in leadership roles within engineering teams
• Hybrid work experience with in-office Columbia, MD presence

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based components for the agentic platform
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications in Kubernetes environments
• Build MCP servers and reusable AI skills with safe interactions to internal data sources
• Collaborate to expose Java-based APIs to AI agents
• Implement enterprise AI guardrails for data privacy and safety
• Maintain testing pipelines for non-deterministic AI outputs
• Mentor and guide engineers to drive senior-level impact
• Other duties as assigned
