Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Software Engineer focused on AI Integration to design, develop, and implement an agentic platform for our Data Lake tool, JCRSD. You will work primarily with Python components and Kubernetes to deploy scalable systems that leverage AI safely and efficiently.

You will build MCP servers and reusable AI skills, enabling internal teams to expose their APIs to autonomous agents while maintaining strict security guardrails.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes deployment and management experience.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs into production backends.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, agents, function calling, and RAG.
• Design of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker experience.
• Comfortable with Linux command line.
• Hybrid work: 1–2 days/week in Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based components for our core agentic platform.
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications within Kubernetes environments.
• Build MCP servers and a library of reusable skills for AI agents.
• Collaborate with teams to expose Java APIs to AI agents.
• Implement enterprise AI guardrails ensuring data privacy and safety.
• Maintain testing pipelines for non-deterministic AI outputs.
• Troubleshoot and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
