Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, is seeking an experienced Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to lead warranty analysis, drive root-cause improvements, and coordinate cross-functional actions across the UNSE team at the Dearborn Truck Plant.

You will manage SIMPSN projects, support 6 Sigma initiatives, and present findings in quality reviews while collaborating with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders to ensure robust vehicle quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 3+ years experience in Program, Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Six Sigma trained desirable.
• Proven ability to solve difficult problems in a high-energy environment.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams.
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead and oversee IRIS warranty binning and analysis to establish root cause.
• Coordinate with dealerships and fleet customers and utilize connected vehicle data for further technical claim details.
• Develop, manage, and own SIMPSN projects to track and document quality improvement actions.
• Document problem solving progress using SIMPSN system.
• Support 6 Sigma project development and coordinate plant input on all issues requiring deep-dive analysis for resolution.
• Present issue findings in plant quality meetings, FQRs, DQRs, VRTs and VQRs.
• Support cascaded internal quality objectives with the Variability Reduction Team (VRT) manufacturing co-leads.
• Provide Incoming Quality with guidance for part measurement and drawing interpretation.
• Support GEMBA process walks to reduce internal fallout.
• Resolve stop ships/builds, campaigns, quality issues, ergonomic issues, and FTT issues; interface with CCRG as needed.
• Initiate and support WERS concerns and alerts for design changes and plant trials; lead plant trials for quality, cost, and supplier improvements.
