Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Performance Engineer II to oversee daily operations of active PV projects in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, data collection, and collaboration across teams to drive fleet optimization and accurate reporting.

You will lead, mentor, and coordinate with junior engineers, review performance reports, and support with PV system modeling and engineering workflow execution. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering or data analytics.
• Experience in modeling using software like PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM, and so on.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, and others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect and consolidate necessary data for reports and analyses.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s internal Performance Team platforms.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to track critical issues and share findings for fleet optimization.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for accurate reporting.
