Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active solar projects. The role supports PV performance analysis, data analytics, and reporting across hybrid or remote settings with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

You will collaborate with internal teams, mentor engineers, and drive fleet optimization while maintaining safety and quality across installations and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science or related technical field.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV performance engineering and PV data analytics.
• Experience with modeling software such as PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of active projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data and deliver reports and tests.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
• Lead and coordinate Performance Engineers & Analysts on project activities.
• Analyze energy losses and performance impacts from outages or underperformance.
• Maintain and improve reports for clients (Commissioning Plans, Test Reports, Vitals).
• Support field teams by prioritizing work based on criticality and failures.
