Job summary

Bowman is seeking an Electrical Engineer III specialized in PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems to join our United States team, remote. This role focuses on leading electrical design, studies, and coordination across project stakeholders for large-scale solar PV and BESS projects.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license with 5+ years of relevant experience, PV/BESS design expertise, and proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant software like ETAP, CYMCAP, and WinIGS. NABCEP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• PE license required.
• Utility Scale PV and BESS design experience required.
• NABCEP certification preferred.
• AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
• Medium voltage design and interconnection experience required.
• Knowledge of NEC/NESC/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the design and development of electrical plan sets.
• Oversee and supervise contractors and staff during execution.
• Perform electrical studies (short circuit, arc flash, load flow, grounding).
• Produce and review single line diagrams and interconnections.
• Coordinate with design engineers and clients to resolve issues.
