Job summary

RRC Power & Energy, LLC. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV - BESS to lead utility-scale energy storage projects from concept through construction and commissioning.

You will review and stamp electrical design packages, oversee MV/LV systems, and coordinate with clients, utilities, EPCs, and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate holds a US PE license, has 8+ years in BESS or power systems, and a strong background in protection schemes, EMS/BMS integration,

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States required.
• 8+ years of experience in BESS or power systems engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master’s degree in Electrical/Power Engineering preferred.
• Lead engineer experience on utility-scale BESS projects.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage systems and protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design and execution of utility-scale BESS projects from conceptual development through construction and commissioning.
• Review and stamp BESS electrical design packages for projects nationwide.
• Serve as technical lead, mentoring engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, utilities, EPCs, and vendors.
• Ensure codes, QA/QC, safety, and project specifications are met.
