Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) design and optimization. The role focuses on developing preliminary designs, supporting proposals, and guiding multi-project design efforts across utility-scale BESS deployments.

Candidates should have a strong background in electrical engineering, 5+ years in renewable energy, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, PVsyst, SAM, ETAP, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in renewable energy field.
• At least 2 years in utility-scale BESS or Solar PV design.

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary design concepts for BESS based on engineering principles.
• Provide technical documentation to Estimating, Business Development, and Proposal teams.
• Lead design from conceptual to constructible stages across multiple BESS projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design development and optimization.
• Guide AutoCAD designers in creating BESS site layouts and single-line diagrams.
