Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sr. Purchasing Agent to lead all purchasing functions for our luxury residential construction projects in Park City, Utah.

You will source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services to ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in purchasing within residential construction, excellent negotiation and analytical skills, and experience with construction software like Buildertrend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably in residential construction.
• Experience with purchasing, purchase orders, estimating, and using construction software.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful supplier management.
• Strong understanding of the residential construction industry, including materials, equipment, and services.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet company goals.
• Manage all purchasing for residential construction projects, incl. sourcing, negotiating, procuring materials, equipment, and services.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and budget alignment.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate project estimates.
• Use Buildertrend or equivalent software to track purchases and records.
• Evaluate supplier performance and build strong relationships with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry regulations.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in purchasing.
