Job summary

Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Salt Lake City, UT to source, negotiate, and contract with trade partners and suppliers. The role ensures competitive pricing, accurate scopes, and timely material availability to meet construction schedules.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in purchasing or related fields, or 6–8 years of equivalent experience, with strong negotiation and ERP skills. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of purchasing, supply chain, or construction operations experience OR 6-8 years of equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with procurement platforms or construction-related purchasing tools.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and maintain qualified trade partners and suppliers to support assigned divisions or communities.
• Prepare, issue, and manage bid packages, scopes of work, and takeoffs to ensure complete, accurate, and competitive pricing.
• Solicit, analyze, and compare bids; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in alignment with company policies and budget targets.
• Coordinate with Construction, Estimating, Operations, and Product teams to align purchasing decisions with plans and schedules.
• Maintain purchasing data, contracts, scopes, and pricing within purchasing and ERP systems.
