Job summary

Homebound in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent with deep experience in new home residential construction to help with material sourcing, bid administration, entry, pricing analysis and contract awards.

You will drive vendor relationships, manage the PO/VPO lifecycle, analyze budgets, negotiate costs, and lead subcontractor recruitment while coordinating with Growth, Construction Operations, and Finance to optimize value.

Qualifications

• Experience in custom or production homebuilding purchasing.
• Strong data entry and tracking with Google Sheets or Excel.
• Familiarity with local building codes.
• Ability to read architectural and construction documents.
• Collaborate across Growth, Construction Ops, and Finance to solve business problems.

Responsibilities

• Bid new and existing home products and manage vendor relationships.
• Drive project documentation and cross-functional communication.
• Manage the PO and VPO process to align with budgets.
• Own procurement data integrity and reporting for decisions.
• Recruit and award new subcontractors and trade partners.
• Attend home and prototype walks to understand field adjustments.
• Lead blueprint changes and update templates.
