Job summary

RealREPP is partnering with a growing organization to recruit a Sr. Purchasing Agent in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on quoting, procurement, and delivery of products and services from qualified suppliers while adhering to company policies and best value principles.

The candidate will determine the best evaluated solution on cost, quality, and delivery, and work closely with A/P and PM to manage invoices and payments in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, systems, and practices.
• Ability to negotiate items in a timely manner.
• Excellent time management and multi-project handling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of pipe, valves, and fittings for plumbing/mechanical systems.
• Experience with ERP software (COINS preferred).
• Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.
• Team collaboration with suppliers, customers, project management, field staff, and accounting.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills material requisitions from field staff, estimating or fabrication shop, procures and ensures product is ordered at a competitive price and on-time delivery.
• Partners with staff and management to eliminate waste and streamline systems; coordinate with A/P and PM to resolve problem invoices and remits.
• Assist in compiling bid documents, bidders lists, inquiries, and recommendations for award of contract.
• Coordinate with project managers and other functions to procure goods and services; resolve supplier issues.
• Coordinate bulk deliveries of rough products to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders and follow up on past-due orders.
