Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead local sourcing across labor categories, drive cost efficiency, and align with the Division Leadership Team. The role focuses on negotiating with suppliers, managing systems like JDE and Oracle, and implementing cost-reduction strategies across Florida ROC and division operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Minimum 5 years in residential construction and 5 years in sourcing.
• Strong analytical, influencing, and communication abilities.
• Solid financial and project management capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and execute local sourcing agreements for all labor categories.
• Support Division President to maximize cost efficiencies.
• Participate in division business planning and strategist roles.
• Ensure compliance to Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
• Coordinate automated purchasing system and related tools.
• Analyze plans for cost reduction and value engineering proposals.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and trade partners.
• Review monthly cost comparisons and variance reports with teams.
• Oversee use of JDE and Oracle and ensure continuity of supply.
• Benchmark industry sourcing and supply management practices.
• Improve division and product cost per square foot and financial performance.
