Position Summary

Under general supervision, independently coordinates the activities involved with procuring goods and services for projects, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies in support of the company’s purchasing function. Provides guidance and direction for less experienced purchasing staff.

What You Will Do

1. Develop strong rapport with vendors and subcontractors supporting PRIME.
2. Participate in project kick-off meetings to influence early-stage planning and optimize workflows.
3. Consult with project managers and vendors for product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
4. Organize and file documents systematically for easy access.
5. Ensure adherence to documented purchasing processes.
6. Issue and manage purchase orders for approved requisitions and contracts across departments.
7. Collaborate with Accounts Payable on vendor setup and invoicing issues related to purchasing.
8. Maintain accuracy of costs and accounting codes with attention to detail.
9. Request quotes and negotiate prices with suppliers.
10. Be knowledgeable about permit acquisition processes.
11. Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas.
12. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
13. Follow PRIME Safety Program regulations and safe work practices.
14. Maintain onsite presence and assist project teams as needed.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned, with activities subject to change.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

1. Associate degree or equivalent, or 5-7 years related experience, or a combination thereof.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
3. Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
4. Familiarity with electrical components and subcontractors in electrical contracting.
5. Ability to provide best-value analysis.
6. Adaptability to changing environments and priorities.
7. Ability to collaborate with senior management and other departments.
8. Willingness to learn and use REMARCABLE Purchasing and Vista Accounting software.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000 annually
