Job summary

Matchtech North America is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development and continuous improvement of mud pumps and related fluid-handling equipment within a manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on hands-on design work, delivering reliable, high-performance solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams from concept through production, while ensuring compliance with API/ISO standards and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical or machine design experience.
• Experience designing mud pumps, frac pumps or similar equipment.
• Proficient with CAD tools such as Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Experience with FEA tools like Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation.
• Ability to read P&IDs and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience in ISO or API Q1 manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on fabrication or welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mud pumps and related components.
• Produce detailed drawings, calculations and docs.
• Perform stress analysis, tolerance studies and reviews.
• Develop and execute component and system testing programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle.
• Prepare reports and support technical decision making.
