Heartline Staffing in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer specialized in pump design to lead development from concept through production. You will design mud/PD/frac pumps, create CAD models and drawings, and ensure reliability and safety across projects.

The role requires hands-on mechanical design experience, API/ISO awareness, and collaboration with manufacturing for continuous product improvement. On-site, direct-hire position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Direct pump design experience with mud/PD/frac pumps required.
• Hands-on machine design and development experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks.
• Ability to read drawings, P&IDs, electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in oil & gas or industrial pumping preferred.
• Familiarity with API specs (API 6A/7K/8C) preferred.
• Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and improve pump systems and related equipment.
• Create detailed drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Perform stress analysis and FEA to evaluate strength and reliability.
• Conduct tolerance studies and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Research, evaluate, and specify purchased components based on performance and cost.
• Develop test plans and validate component and system performance.
• Prepare engineering reports documenting calculations, analyses, and results.
• Interpret P&IDs and electrical/hydraulic schematics to support design.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards and industry specs.
