Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years mechanical design; 5+ years preferred.
• Direct pump design experience required (mud pumps, PD pumps, frac pumps).
• Proficiency with CAD tools: Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
• Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimization of mechanical equipment and pump systems.
• Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and design layouts using CAD software.
• Perform stress analysis and finite element analysis for strength and reliability.
• Conduct tolerance analyses and review drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Research, select, and specify components based on performance, quality, and cost.
• Develop test plans and conduct design validation to verify performance.
• Prepare technical reports documenting calculations, analyses, testing procedures.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer tolead the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mud pumps,positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related mechanical equipment. Theideal candidate will have a strong background in machine design, pump systems,mechanical engineering principles, and equipment performance, with hands‑onexperience developing reliable and high-performance mechanical solutions.

This role will work closely with engineering, manufacturing,and cross‑functional teams to develop innovative designs that meet performance,safety, quality, and industry compliance requirements.

Important Requirement: Direct experience designingmud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, or closely related pumpingequipment is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadthe design, development, and optimization of mechanical equipment, pumpsystems, and associated components.
• Createdetailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and design layouts using CADsoftware.
• Performstress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to assess componentstrength, durability, and reliability.
• Conducttolerance analyses and review engineering drawings and technicaldocumentation for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Research,select, and specify purchased components based on performance,compatibility, quality, and cost.
• Developtest plans and conduct design validation to verify component and systemperformance.
• Preparetechnical reports documenting engineering calculations, design analyses,testing procedures, and results.
• Readand interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and hydraulic schematicsto support equipment design and system integration.
• Collaboratewith engineering, manufacturing, and other cross‑functional teamsthroughout product design, development, and production.
• Ensuredesigns comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements,and industry specifications.
• Identifyopportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency,manufacturability, and overall product performance.
• Staycurrent with emerging engineering technologies, materials, and designmethodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’sdegree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimumof 3 years of mechanical design engineering experience; 5 or more yearspreferred.
• Demonstratedpump design experience involving mud pumps, positive displacement pumps,frac pumps, or closely related equipment.
• Strongbackground in machine design and mechanical system development.
• Proficiencywith CAD software such as Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks.
• Experienceusing FEA tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.
• Abilityto interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and electrical and hydraulicschematics.
• Stronganalytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellentattention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively withengineering and manufacturing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experiencedesigning equipment for the oil and gas industry, oilfield services, orindustrial pumping applications.
• Knowledgeof hydraulic systems, including their design, integration, andimplementation.
• Familiaritywith API specifications, particularly API 6A, API 7K, and API 8C.
• Experienceworking in an ISO-certified or API Q1-certified manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑onmechanical experience with mechanical systems, fabrication, or welding.
