Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Principal Network Project/Program Manager to oversee a high-visibility portfolio in long-term public–private technology programs serving public safety. You will own execution oversight, milestones, and deliverable quality for technical work streams including wireless network deployment and rapid-deployable assets.

You will interface with government customers, negotiate scope, and drive contract compliance while aligning with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Extensive government contract project management experience and strong organizational skills.
• Telecommunications industry experience, preferably wireless.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Strong, process-oriented project management skills.
• Customer-facing role with regular interaction with our government customer.
• Flexibility to shift assignments and support higher-priority program initiatives as needs change.
• Drive to learn new concepts, tools, procedures, and software that improve team performance.
• 10+ years of progressive program/portfolio management experience in complex environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of large, multi-track technical program portfolios with contract and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage relationships with government stakeholders.
• Strong requirements-management and traceability discipline.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.
• Knowledge of PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and when to apply them.
• Ability to lead and coach project managers without direct reporting authority.
• Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Own execution oversight and milestone delivery across a multi-track portfolio.
• Lead interface with government customers, negotiate scope and resolve issues.
• Manage requirements traceability, deliverable quality, and portfolio risk.
• Collaborate with network, product, finance, contracts, and other teams to move work forward.
• Maintain contract compliance while meeting objectives and timelines.
• Coach project managers in a matrixed environment while performing hands-on work.
• Communicate clearly with senior executives and external stakeholders.
