Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a senior Portfolio Manager to lead a high-visibility, multi-project program serving public safety clients. This on-site role requires rigorous government-contract oversight, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across network, product, finance, and contracts.

You will interface with government customers and executives, own requirements traceability, ensure contract compliance, and coach project managers in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive government contract project management experience
• Strong organizational skills in a public-sector setting
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams
• Process-oriented project management skills with governance
• Customer-facing role with regular interaction with government customers
• Flexibility to shift assignments for higher-priority initiatives
• 10+ years of progressive program/portfolio management experience
• Demonstrated ownership of large multi-track portfolios with compliance requirements
• Proven ability to lead negotiations with government stakeholders
• Strong requirements-management and traceability discipline
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with PM methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and when to apply them
• Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-track portfolio of complex technical programs with formal compliance and customer-acceptance requirements
• Serve as principal interface to the government customer, negotiating scope and resolving issues
• Own requirements traceability, deliverable quality, and portfolio-level risk management
• Partner with network, product, finance, contracts and other teams to move work from requirement to delivery
• Maintain contract compliance while meeting business objectives
• Coach project managers in a matrixed environment while delivering hands-on work
• Communicate clearly with senior executives and external stakeholders
