Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect for the public sector to help state, local government, and education customers accelerate cloud adoption and transform student and citizen experiences using AWS cloud services.

You will work directly with government agencies and educational institutions to architect scalable, secure solutions, engaging stakeholders at all levels and influencing technical decision-making while building thought leadership in a vast technology stack.

Qualifications

2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking).

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to public sector customers, designing and building AWS cloud solutions.
Educate and share best practices by delivering technical content, sample code, presentations, and workshops.
Translate customer input into technical requirements and coordinate with sales, professional services, and engineering.
Own end-to-end design of cloud architecture, with guidance on security, scalability, availability, and performance.
Mentor teammates and coordinate speaking opportunities at events to educate audiences.
