Job summary

AWS is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our public sector cloud adoption. You will own the technical engagement, define architectures, respond to RFPs, and become a SME on security for customer applications and services.

You will work with customers, systems integrators, and a world class sales team, sharing best practices and guiding projects to success while traveling up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs; develop expertise in AWS technologies.
• Be a security SME for customer applications and services and share best practices within the team.
